Colleen Nicholson & Sally Riemer

In this Listening Project conversation Colleen Nicholson talks with her friend Sally Riemer about downtown Petersburg in the 1940s. Nicholson lists the businesses she remembers on main street as well as some of her memories from those businesses. She remembers teenagers hanging out at the telephone office, and working the night shift making the telephone connections in town. She also recounts some of the dances she remembers at the school, the Sons of Norway Hall and several other spots in town where people let the local teens hold a dance.
